My name is Sujal Mishra, and I am a first-semester student from the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication at ITM SLS Baroda University. From the very beginning of my journey here, I have been inspired by the learning environment, creative exposure, and encouragement to explore my potential both academically and personally.
As a student of mass communication, I believe in learning through experience and the university has provided me with several opportunities to do just that. I proudly secured a position among the top five contestants in the Fashion Walk, which helped me gain confidence and stage presence. Performing in NukkadNatak allowed me to overcome my fear of public speaking, while my participation in Mime Acts taught me the importance of nonverbal communication and expressive storytelling. I also took part in Sports Day, which helped me develop discipline and sportsmanship.
I also had the opportunity to perform in a KaviSammelan, where I presented my own poem in front of a large audience. This experience helped me explore my creative writing skills and boosted my confidence in performing live, combining emotion, rhythm, and expression to connect with listeners.
In addition to these activities, I have worked in two short films that have enhanced my creative and technical understanding of the media industry. I acted in Scheduled Mail, and in One Click, Last Click, I contributed both as an actor and as an assistant director.
My journey at ITM SLS Baroda University has been enriching and full of opportunities to learn, perform, and grow. The constant support and guidance from the faculty have motivated me to keep improving myself and to explore every aspect of the media field with dedication and curiosity.
