Professor Dr. Beena Santosh Modathi

Dr. Beena Santosh is an independent researcher and design academician with an experience of 24 years. Her work experience includes serving at various design colleges in India, Sri Lanka, and Zambia in various capacities. She adheres to a strong philosophy of teaching, and advocates knowledge of diverse methods to motivate students to develop their expertise in specific areas. She carries with her vast experience in teaching fashion in an educational environment with sound knowledge of fashion, textiles, sustainable design, craft and related areas. She believes in sensitizing and nurturing students towards being responsible planet-centric designers.


She has conducted workshops in different Universities, has been on the advisory board of eminent institutes, and has been involved in their curriculum planning. She has also participated in various national and international conferences and published her research papers on craft, sustainable design, fashion, and textiles in various journals. She has also been invited as a speaker at various platforms.

Ms. Hiral Lagdhir

Ms. Hiral Lagdhir is HOD (Assistant Professor) of Fashion Design, in ITM(SLS) Baroda University, with a particular emphasis on experimental garment construction and textile innovation. Her expertise includes pattern making, digital textile printing, and the integration of wearable technology into fashion. Ms. Hiral Lagdhir has extensive experience in couture techniques, draping, tailoring, craft, weaving, printing, painting and dyeing, which she combines with technology to create unique and visionary designs. She has a keen interest in exploring the intersection of fashion and technology, focusing on how new materials and digital processes can push the boundaries of traditional fashion design. Adding to this, she is passionate for sustainability in fashion and advocates for eco-friendly practices, influencing both her students and peers to adopt responsible design principles. Her commitment to education extends beyond the classroom, as she frequently organizes workshops and seminars that bridge the gap between academia and industry.

 

Her work often involves collaboration with Government Projects, Garment Industries, NGO’s and Craft Artisans to provide innovative solutions.

Bhavin Raj

Ar. Bhavin Raj has accomplished projects in architecture and interior design, proving his ability to generate new and creative solutions that satisfy the needs and preferences of his students. He has a good understanding of architectural concepts, art impressions in interiors, painting, and art history. He is an “Archi-Tech-Designer.” He has worked on a wide variety of interior and architectural projects, including commercial, residential, and institutional buildings. He has experience with all stages of the architectural and interior design process, from concept to building documentation. In addition, he has great technical abilities; he is adept in a range of design applications and knowledgeable in interior design, building materials, and presentation creation. His approach to teaching is effective in that he recognises and addresses student views, presents academic designs in a variety of ways, and communicates ideas to students.

Krupal Thakar

Krupal Thakar is more than just a designer—her Master’s degree in Interior Design makes her an accomplished space architect. Her great love of sustainability and her natural sense of aesthetics have created a distinctive design philosophy.

 

Krupal’s skill goes beyond aesthetics. She is a master of form, colour, space, and function who expertly incorporates ergonomics, comfort, and usefulness into each design. Her combination of practical experience and academic aptitude enables her to convert ideas into real-world situations with ease. She has been working with renowned interior designers and has accomplished many interior projects.

 

Unwavering in her drive to innovation, Krupal is a never-ending explorer of design boundaries. She creates trends rather than just following them. Her creations are experiences rather than merely spaces.

Professor Dr. Steffen Lehmann

He trained as an architect and urban designer at the Architectural Association School of Architecture in London (AA Dipl. 1991), and in Germany: Master at the Mainz University of Applied Science (1988), before completing a Ph.D. (Dr.-Ing. 2003) in Architecture and Urbanism at the Technical University in Berlin. In 1993, he registered as a licensed architect in Berlin,
Professor Dr. Steffen Lehmann is full professor of architecture & urbanism (with tenure), and the Founding Director of the interdisciplinary Urban Futures Lab, at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (USA). The Lab is a very active international research group that brings together key researchers across a wide range of disciplines.
Steffen is internationally known as a strategic leader and award-winning educator, and for the vital role he has played in advancing sustainable architecture and urbanism, higher education, research and innovation, student opportunities and success, and economic development. He has experience in every aspect of university administration including strategic planning, program accreditation, research strategy, international partnerships, and research collaborations

Juan Herreros

Juan Herreros is an International Fellow of the RIBA (Royal Institute of British Architects); he has been awarded the Architectural Digest prize, the Medal of Arts from the city of San Lorenzo de El Escorial, named ‘Architect of the World’ by the Architects’ Association of the city of Lima and adoptive son of the city of Cochabamba, and has been nominated to the U.S. Academy of Arts and Letters Architecture Medal.
PhD Architect, Chair Professor of Architectural Design at Madrid School of Architecture and Full Professor at the GSAPP of Columbia University in New York. He has previously taught at Princeton University between 2004 and 2007, at the Architectural Association between 1998 and 2000 as a ‘Diploma Unit Master’, at the EPF in Lausanne from 1999 to 2000 as ‘Professeur Invité’ and at the IIT in Chicago as ‘Morgenstern Visiting Chair in Architecture’ in 2006. He has been appointed juror in numerous national and international competitions, biennials and international awards, editorial advisor of specialized media and member of several expert committees on academic, sustainability and technology programs such as the Material Science Congress at the University of Columbia.Juan Herreros has taught hundreds of conferences, courses, seminars and research workshops worldwide.

Dr Andrea Nanetti

Dr. Nanetti lives in the Nanyang Technological University campus, Singapore where he serves as Associate Professor and Associate Chair (Research) at the School of Art, Design and Media, Senior Research Team Member at the Complexity Institute, and Faculty Member of the University Scholarly Program. He serves also the domain of heritage science as Founding Co-Director (International Relations) of the International Research Centre for Architectural Heritage Conservation at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, as Member of the College of Professors of PhD School of Architecture at the University of Florence, and as Founding Member of the Board of Directors of the Maniatakeion Foundation (Athens).

Michael U. Hensel

Michael Ulrich Hensel is a German architect, researcher, educator and writer. His main areas of interest are “performance-oriented Design” and “Performance-oriented Architecture”. Hensel has been a key proponent of interdisciplinary research by design in architecture since the mid-1990s, He is a prolific writer whose work has been published world-wide.
Michael U. Hensel is a founding member of the international network OCEAN and partner in OCEAN Architecture | Environment and OCEAN net. He is founding and steering committee member of LamoLab Research Centre, Tuscany, Italy. He is University Professor at Vienna University of Technology and heads the Research Department for Digital Architecture and Planning. He is also board and faculty member at the inter-faculty Center for Geometry and Computational Design.
