A SWAYAM-NPTEL committee was formed with the permission of Hon’ble Provost on
23/08/2025. The committee is headed by Prof. (Dr.) Vedvyas Dwivedi (Hon’ble Provost) and Dr.
Kalpana Metre as University Coordinator ( Single Point of Contact).

During the period from July 2025 – November 2025, several initiatives were undertaken to increase awareness, enrolment, and successful completion of MOOCs courses. The chapter
has continued its commitment to promoting lifelong learning aligned with the objectives of the Ministry of Education, Government of India.
Activities Conducted:
Formation of school coordinators and Awareness Session:
The coordinators from the different schools are nominated by the Deans of the respective schools. The meeting of all the school coordinators was conducted in the presence of Hon’ble Provost at his cabin. He briefed about SWAYAM-NPTEL initiatives and their benefits for students and teachers. SPOC explained the roles and responsibilities of the school representatives. SPOC explained the courses available on SWAYAM/NPTEL platform as well as on MOOC.org.
Review Meetings and Monitoring of Registration:
In Review meeting, review of the status of MOOCs Registration in different school is monitored. School coordinators are guided to motivate the students and staff for registration for various MOOCs courses.
Creation and Updating of SWAYAM-NPTEL information on University Portal:
Regular Updates and Reminders:
Periodic circulars, WhatsApp group notifications were used to keep learners informed about course deadlines, exam registration, and new course releases.
Participation Summary:
Notable performance was observed in disciplines such as Computer Science and Physiotherapy.

Future Plan of Action (December 2025 – May 2026)
• To increase student enrolment by 20% through continuous motivation and guidance.
• To encourage at least one MOOC course completion per faculty member per
semester.
Conclusion:
The first half of the academic year 2025-26 marked significant growth in the active participation of both students and faculty members in MOOCs courses, ATAL-AICTE FDPs. The Local Chapter at ITM SLS Baroda University, Vadodara remains committed to fostering a culture of self-learning, skill enhancement, and academic excellence through these online
learning initiatives.
