The Physiotherapy Department recently hosted an inspiring session on the Student Startup and Innovation Policy (SSIP), bringing together the bright minds of our BPT students and expert faculty members. This collaborative forum was designed to bridge the gap between clinical excellence and entrepreneurial thinking.

MOU- Clinical facilities & hospital collaborations

The school of physiotherapy at ITM SLS Baroda University, Vadodara provides students with extensive clinical exposure through its parent hospital and collaborations with reputed healthcare institutions. These partnerships ensure hands on clinical training, patient interaction, and multidisciplinary learning for physiotherapy students.

Parent Hospital

The university is supported by ITM medical hospital, a 100 bedded multi-specialty hospital located within the campus premises. The hospital provides students with continuous clinical exposure and practical training in patient assessment, treatment planning, and rehabilitation.

To enhance practical learning and professional exposure, the school of physiotherapy has established memorandums of understanding (MoUs) with various clinical setups including:

  • ITM medical hospital, Vadodara
  • Rhythm heart institute, Vadodara
  • Pranayama Lung & Heart institute, Vadodara
  • Viroc Super specialist hospital, Vadodara
  • Divisional Railway Hospital, Vadodara
  • Kashiba children hospital, Vadodara
  • Navrang orthopaedic hospital, Vadodara

Through these collaborations, students gain clinical experience in orthopaedic, neurological, cardiopulmonary, paediatric, and rehabilitation physiotherapy.

Community physiotherapy camps

The department also organize community physiotherapy camps and outreach programs in collaboration with healthcare centres such as:

  • Primary health centre (PHC), Jarod
  • Community health centre (CHC), Halol
These programs provide students with exposure to community-based rehabilitation and rural healthcare services while promoting physiotherapy awareness.
