Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC)

The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) was established at ITM SLS Baroda University (ITMBU) with an intention to hone our effort to improve the quality of graduates through an efficient system. The IQAC has been constituted as per the recommendations of the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). IQAC conducts periodic review meetings to ensure the effective implementation of quality initiatives. The IQAC’s goal is attaining excellence in all academic and administrative activities prevailing at ITMBU.

Objectives

  • To develop and inculcate systems and practices to improve the academic and administrative performance of the institution
  • To enhance measurers of quality by creating and imbibing a quality culture

Quality Policy

To establish a quality culture and generate systems, procedures and processes for continuous improvement of quality of teaching – learning, research and extension activities for academic excellence

Strategies

Generate processes and procedures for:
  • Excellence in academic, administrative and financial aspects
  • Creating relevant, affordable and quality driven academic and research programmes
  • Imbibing contemporary methods of teaching and learning to strengthen the outcome of the teaching-learning process
  • A viable robust assessment and evaluation system
  • Ensuring availability of all resources for streamlined knowledge creation and sharing

Functions

IQAC is involved in:
  • Development and application of quality benchmarks and its parameters for both academic and administrative activities
  • The creation of a learner-centric environment capable of imparting quality education
  • Creating schemes for faculty development to enhance the quality of the teaching-learning process
  • Collection and analysis of feedback from all stakeholders to improve quality
  • Dissemination of various quality parameters to all stakeholders
  • Organization of workshops and seminars to enhance quality awareness and adoption
  • Creation and dissemination of best practices
  • Documentation and database creation of the various programmes/activities
  • Conduction of Academic and Administrative Audit and its follow-up
  • Preparation and submission of the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) as per guidelines and parameters of NAAC
